Welcome to my web page and thank you for taking the time to visit. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in English and Education. My MA in Reading and Related Language Experiences K/12 is from Western Michigan University and I have a 40-hour MA Endorsement in Library Media and Technology K/12 from Grand Valley State University. As you can see, I enjoy "both sides of the desk".

I am currently in my twelfth year as Library Media Specialist at St. Joseph High School and my first year at Upton Middle School.  I work with all staff and students in grades 6-12. My responsibilities include introducing students to quality literature, the teaching of effective research practices and materials, and the introduction of technology that will enhance both learning and presentation. Throughout the school year I work with entire classes, small groups, and individual students. I can be found at Upton Middle School on Monday, Thursday and Friday and at SJHS on Tuesday and Wednesday. I feel privileged to be part of an outstanding Learning Community.

I am also the faculty advisor for the SJHS News Team which produces our daily in-house News Cast. This year we are excited to be using a teleprompter and green screen technology. Next, we hope to broadcast live from remote locations.

In addition to my work in the Media Center, I am a member of the SJHS Building Leadership Team, and recently served as a Co-Chair of the High School NCA Reading Study Committee. I also am a certified Teacher Trainer for Reading Apprenticeship through the Berrien County Regional Education Association and am currently part of a team training teachers throughout Berrien County.

My husband and I are residents of St. Joseph and are the parents of three grown children, all St. Joseph Public Schools graduates.
