High School Counselor (Q - Z)
My favorite book?  Too many to list, but I love a good mystery, especially a good court-room drama like John Grisham's books. But I think my favorite recent read has got to be The Shack. It has forced me to look at my faith in a whole new way, and continues to inspire me on a daily basis.

Thank you for visiting my web-site. I am as happy today about being a Guidance Counselor at St. Joseph High School as I was nine years ago when I first started here. I enjoy every part of my job including working with students on the college application process, scheduling classes for the next year, doing classroom presentations, navigating through social concerns, and all the rest that seems to fill up each day.
This is actually my third stint here at St. Joseph High School. My first was as a high school student myself, Class of 1972, go Bears! The second was when I was fresh out of college and taught English for three years in room 221. I loved teaching and seeing the same students each day, and I miss that part of education sometimes.
Marriage and three children brought a sabbatical of sorts, and it was twenty years until I got back here again as a counselor. In the meantime, I had some pretty cool part-time jobs, and the privilege of a full time job raising my boys. With an empty nest now, my husband and I enjoy spending time together doing this and that, and I still try to get a run in most days.
I believe every student should have a game plan for after high school, and to that end I will focus my energy on getting your child through high school successfully and on to the next step whether it be a job, college, technical school, or the military.
Thanks for letting me be part of your students' lives!
