St. Joseph High School Guidance Department
Welcome to St. Joseph High School’s Guidance Department webpage. We are happy to help you become familiar with both our department and with the staff here, and hope that this website encourages you to stop in and see us --whether you are a student, parent, or simply an interested community member. We have created this site so both students and parents may access information about colleges, college entrance testing, financial aid, career searches, yearly calendar, and scholarship information.
The counseling office serves many functions for high school students and their parents. We have adopted the Michigan Model Guidance Curriculum as the basis of our own guidance activities, and we deliver services in four general areas—Individual Planning, Responsive Services, Systems Support and Classroom Guidance.
We begin the year ensuring all our students have a schedule that provides them with the appropriate classes to earn a Michigan Merit Curriculum /St. Joseph High School diploma, and work through the year providing information and additional academic services to all our students throughout the year. We have a regular schedule for meeting with individual students, but we encourage students to visit our office when they have individual needs or questions.
We hope you find this site helpful and informative, and welcome any suggestions you may have for its improvement.
