Hello and welcome to my website!
I am looking forward to the start of my eleventh year of teaching at E. P. Clarke School. My undergraduate degree in Elementary Education was completed through Northern Illinois University. In December of 2007, I was awarded a Masters Degree in Education through Grand Valley State University with endorsements in Learning Disabilities and Emotional Impairments.
On a personal note, my husband, Bill, and I reside in St. Joseph. We are the proud parents of two grown daughters, Kristen and Lauren. In 2000, we gained a son-in-law, Alex. Our first grandchild, Maddie, was born in 2005, and Evan graced our family in 2009. In our free time, Bill and I enjoy theater and are active with Twin City Players.
I believe in meeting each child's individual needs through their unique styles of learning. Small group instruction and cooperative learning experiences are provided in our diverse-age classroom. Parents are an integral part of each child's success. Providing at-home practice in the skills introduced in the classroom is paramount to learning. I am looking forward to providing these opportunities to develop a team approach to learning!
