"We educate the whole child in a positive climate for optimum learning."
Welcome Back to School!
2012-2013 school year is going to be filled with new learning
opportunities for all of us!
The staff and I are committed to creating a 21st century learning environment for your child. With the generous support of our community and ongoing grant programs from our Clarke PTO and SJPS Foundation, the students have access to many updated technologies and online learning resources. Several mobile computer labs provide 1:1 access to electronic devices during the school day for your child.
St. Joseph Public Schools' commitment to high quality instruction continues this school year. Updated math and English Language Arts curriculum materials have been purchased to ensure student-centered learning throughout out school. Our goal is to grow all of our students.
I look forward to our continued partnership in your child's education. Four great ways to stay involved this year:
Designated learning time every night.
Establishing clear home expectations and routines for homework, nightly
reading, and self-directed learning activities helps to ensure a
terrific school year. With busy fall sports schedules this can be
difficult, but starting the year out right will make learning a
priority all year long.
Prioritize family time. Set aside time each week for family fun that's focused on relationship building, communication and well being. Happy and healthy learners are easier to grow.
Attend PTO meetings and events.
