My name is Linda DeLapa and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Brown Elementary School. This will be my ninth year at St. Joseph Public Schools and I feel blessed to be part of this amazing staff. I taught pre-kindergarten for 14 years at Trinity Lutheran School prior to coming to St. Joe.
Before beginning our family, I taught in the Coloma School System for 5 years. I began as a 4th grade teacher and then taught 2 years of kindergarten. I then taught Developmental Kindergarten in Coloma for 2 years before leaving to stay home with our children.
My husband, Tony, and I live in St. Joseph and have raised 3 children, Justin, Sarah and Dylan. Justin lives and works in St. Joe with his wife, Jenny and our grandson, Leo. Sarah and her husband, Matt are teachers in Memphis,Tennessee and have our granddaughter, Madelyn. Dylan and his wife, Gloria live and work in Chicago. I enjoy spending time with family (especially my grandchildren :)) and friends, going to the beach, playing golf (although, not well) and teaching. I love to read and take advantage of summer vacation to whittle away at my pile of books.
I received both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Michigan University in Elementary Education. I love being a teacher and feel that I have the best job there is.
