I have been teaching in St. Joe since 2002, and both of my children are now alumni. This is my 30th year of teaching since I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a double major in English and Secondary Education. I have taught in districts in Illinois, Ohio, and now Michigan. In 2007, I completed my Master of Education degree in Reading from Grand Valley State University and have an advanced degree as a K-12 Reading Specialist. I have served as an adjunct professor for Grand Valley State University and Lake Michigan College.
Reading is my passion, and I strive to instill an appreciation of literature in my students as it opens doors in academics and imagination.
